I will buy this as soon as it comes out. I only hope multiplayer will not be bugged like the AOM steam version, where the multiplayer bug fix never arrived, and therefore the only way to play multiplayer properly is to use gameranger/voobly. Also, the original AOM would run on 256 MB ram that I had at the time. I hope this remake doesn't require a high-end gaming pc

Seeing the silliness of some of these supposedly "skilled" RTS players panicking about some of these accessibility/auto features is like watching grown a** adults throw a fit because the toddler's bike has training wheels, which obviously means they can compete against professional cyclists am I right?!? Catastrophization, Doom, Despair! How DARE people be able to enjoy great games in whatever way works for them! Dare I mention the horror of casuals! The whingeing around games with a competitive side (or at the very least a high skill ceiling) tends to come from people that have forgotten that games are supposed to be FUN.

Hot take on the big AoE2 prize pool. The top AoE2 players are older and some may be looking to retire. The big prize pool can draw new younger players so that game can continue to be as strong as it is. While the discrepancy in the prize pool isn't cool for everyone else, but that's my theory. Yup, I think now that at least they removed Empire Wars, it's worth spending more time just reflecting that Red Bull is not the owner of AoE4. Just because Red Bull is de-prioritizing AoE4 in Red Bull Wololo doesn't mean that there's not another potential sponsor who could help create a home for the next top-tier AoE4 tournament.

Im a pro pc player and im just now downloading age to my xbox to give the controller a try and see if it truly is better.

Crossplay ruined the game for the player base. Personnaly I have seen very few Xbox player happy about it. I've saw all my friend stopping playing the game because of it tough. I'm slowly thinking about leaving the game but after so much time invested in it I'm torm appary

I didn't think there were cheaters in Age of Empires 4 as well. If I want to avoid them, I think I'd better stick to playing solo and only games in solo or cooperative mode... It's sad, I love playing online but in every game there are cheaters... It's really a shame..

I'm only used to playing with auto cue, so I would actually kinda miss it. The only thing I hope is, that they fix the horrible hotkey system. In AOE2, everything is qwerty asdf Yxc It's so accessible and easy to learn for new players. In AOM fE: Every myth unit of every civilization has a different hotkey, even though you can't use it, depending on which god you choose in each age. They're also more problems, with building hotkeys, and overall it's just a mess imo. So yeah, change that please...

I played a number of these rts games and while I can never call myself some expert, I am still an enthusiast and I quite enjoy this genre. Some folks here are really quite good at this though. Micromanaging. Still, gotta say I love playing.
